Comic Con!

How weird. I returned to my blog after an absence to discover I had a bunch of posts set to private. Did I do that one night in a fit of editing, or was I setting them to private each time? Sometimes I confound myself.

Anyway, hello. I suppose it's been awhile. Work is, well, work. Travel is, well, non-existent. I had been determined to be quite a jet-setter this year but that hasn't come to pass. Perhaps in the second half of the year, eh?

Until I figure out how to take a much deserved vacation, I promise to be blogging more. Among my topics... tada! Comic Con! Who knew, right? I will actually be attending this year. Again: who knew?? My cousin will be there in a professional capacity and has a badge for me. I've always been intrigued by the spectacle, and as someone newly into graphic novels and indie artists and designers, I'm sort of excited! Granted I know Comic Con does not cater as widely as festivals such as MoCCA or TCAF do to the independant artists, I know there are some out there. I hope I don't get trampled by Twilight fans and Spiderman fanboys as I try to make my way to these indie artists' tables. :)

I've only been to San Diego a couple of times, and never really in the Gaslamp. I wonder what there is to do for when I need a breather from the show? :)

I spend way too many mornings scrolling though this site, simultaneously laughing and feeling sad.

Oh my.

The always lovely, well-kempt, and totally stylish Audrey over at A Lovely Escape shared this cute decor idea-- framed fortune cookie fortunes! Honestly, I read mine, laugh, and toss them in the trash but this is such a great, unique idea. Very cute.
